The idea that started Speculo was straightforward: government agencies shouldn't have to repeat the same risk assessments over and over again. Every agency running its own process, storing evidence in silos, starting from scratch each time. That repetition was costing public money and leaving gaps that shared intelligence could have closed. We believed agencies could collaborate, share their risk work safely, and build something better together.

We're still working towards that. And we've come to understand the problem isn't unique to government. Any organisation doing serious cyber risk work runs into the same friction: fragmented processes, siloed data, and conversations that don't convert into funded decisions.
