Our team.
100% Kiwi owned, Speculo is lovingly built and maintained by these fine folks. Think of our team as an extension of your team… ready to get started?
Chris Hawksworth
Founder
Chris is a big fan of analytical methodologies and thinking. That, along with a vision of creating a niche cyber tech industry in New Zealand, is what gave rise to the idea of Speculo. Chris is known as a bit of a workhorse and has spent close to three decades in cyber tech across three different continents.
He loves sushi, books, and playing “hide and seek the dinosaur” with his three young children.
Tom Britton
Co-founder
The person who helps you and then leaves you feeling good is called “Security Tom” in most Kiwi organisations. He‘s worked as a consultant, in government, in startups, and in banking for two decades. One of the proud moments in his career was leading the security operations, architecture, and engineering of New Zealand’s Covid response in the Ministry of Health.
When he’s not hanging out with his two epic kids, Tom is secretly training to become a top-notch gardener.
Jarrad Vodanovich
Business Development

Jarrad’s a born and bred Wellington local and will often be your first point of call here at Speculo. Great customer service has been Jarrad’s pride and joy for many years. He loves to chat and hear about all things security and has made it his mission to learn something new every day.
When he’s not donning the security hat, Jarrad can be found on the local golf course trying to straighten out his drives. He'll get there, though it might take a few more years.
Helene Mortensen
Communications

Helene’s done all sorts of corporate comms, UX and marketing for the past twenty years. She’s even done social engineering across power plants and big pharma in Europe. More than anything though, Helene’s passionate about helping people see and act on their own potential.
The last few months, she’s become almost obsessed with cooking. But she’s at her happiest when she’s with her family and can see the hills around Wellington.
